EXPONOR fills its lungs with health and wellbeing

The invitation is suggestive, yet simple. But that is just how healthy living is: made of simplicity. And so much so that we often forget its more basic tricks. Well... Going shopping and Bringing more Health is the suggestion of the organisers of the Health and Wellbeing Exhibition (one of the new events at NORMÉDICA/AJUTEC) and of the Portuguese Nutritionists Association – a workshop, scheduled for the afternoon of the 8th of May, at the Porto International Fair Conference Centre.
It is one challenge among many – and varied – that will complement the four events that will occupy EXPONOR between the 7th and 10th of May: the 11th Health Fair, the 12th International Fair on Technical Assistance and New Technologies for the Disabled, the Health and Wellbeing Exhibition and EXPODENTIS.

And it is the Health and Wellbeing Exhibition that will host a significant share of the additional events, thus giving a further boost to the movement. Among conferences, workshops and seminars promoting healthy living, visitors will have the opportunity to take part in tea ceremonies, tai-chi (a form of exercise resembling dance, but based on slow movements), yoga, origami (Japanese art of paper folding), ikebana (Japanese floral art), a range of therapeutic massages and a variety of screenings and clinical examinations (osteoporosis, obesity, ophthalmology, cholesterol, triglycerides, blood sugar, diabetes and blood pressure, spirometry and electrocardiograms).
