NORMÉDICA - 11th Health Fair
Trade visitors only. Children under 14 are not allowed.

Health is no longer perceived as the simple absence of illness; rather it is now understood as a state of physical, mental and social wellbeing. The introduction of this notion that health is an ongoing and interdependent process of preservation of life has created a new social dimension. The various types of healthcare are, increasingly, becoming more and more integrated. Information systems take on a new expression and countless modernisation projects in this area are being launched.
Thus, medicine presents more and more challenges. It is a field that is constantly evolving, not only in terms of research, but also in terms of improvements in the provision of healthcare. Normédica - Health Fair is, therefore, the stage for a wide range of solutions, products and equipments in the field of healthcare. A setting for debates, knowledge and, above all, business opportunities.
This exhibition, organised in partnership with ANCECSI - National Association of Traders of Scientific Equipment, will be held between the 7th and the 10th of May 2009 at Exponor. It is exclusively designed for professionals and aims to present the most recent developments in the field of Health.
AJUTEC - 12th International Fair on Technical Assistance and New Technologies for the Disabled
Exhibition open to the general public.

The increasing ageing of the population, as well as the search for autonomy and a better quality of life, force us to overcome barriers and create accessibilities that are vital for inclusion.
AJUTEC - International Fair on Technical Assistance and New Technologies for the Disabled takes place between the 7th and the 10th of May 2009 at EXPONOR. The largest national event for this sector, it is the showcase for the launch, in Portugal, of the most recent developments in the field.
Technical assistance is a vital instrument for the wellbeing of individuals with disabilities, the elderly or individuals who require it on a temporary or permanent basis. It is designed to compensate handicaps or to limit their consequences, prevent the individual’s clinical condition from worsening and allow individuals to exercise their day-to-day activities and participate in their academic, professional, cultural and social lives.
Technical assistance for a life with: • more energy • more movement • less effort • less pain • greater comfort
HEALTH AND WELLBEING EXHIBITION
Exhibition open to the general public.

Harmony and Balance are keywords when we speak of Health and Wellbeing. To lead a healthy life, we need to find a balance and that balance is achieved based on the values of physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing. Wellbeing depends on many factors. Genetic predisposition, the environment in which individuals find themselves, healthcare, diet and lifestyle all have a strong influence.
The Health and Wellbeing Event, which will take place alongside Normédica - Health Fair, between the 7th and the 10th of May 2009 at EXPONOR, will display a wide range of suggestions for achieving Health and Wellbeing. These suggestions will comprise Products, Equipments and Services which may help contribute towards a better quality of life.
This event is open to professionals as well as the general public. The scope of the exhibition is fairly broad, covering many fields of interest, and it benefits from being incorporated within an exhibition which focuses on health in general.
Prevention to live longer and better...
To prevent and control obesity, stress and bad dietary habits are positive attitudes for a healthier life. Smile, walk, exercise, wander, relax and eat well. All these are synonymous with quality of life, but one needs determination and purpose, starting with the body, to reach the mind and achieve the required transformation. Stress and depression affect the majority of the population and give rise to blockages in the immunological system. Leading a healthy life can be a simple task, as long as it includes a desire by the individual, a plan, to establish healthy habits. |
